My need for a band has now been nullified, and I think I only need three characters; the policeman, the killer, and the damsel in distress/victim. They will all be part of the band but only the killer will be the main vocalist for this song, though maybe on the website I can make out that they each take turns in being lead. I will also make out that they can all play instruments so as not to take away from the 'band' idea which is prominent in many new wave acts. This change will also make the artist a mixed gender band. Though this is not to my original plans, it gives the opportunity to exploit sex appeal in the female, and makes it more liberal which is how I imagine the new wave audience to be. Talking Heads themselves were also a mixed gender band. Now, the characters as I have thought of them so far:
The Policeman
This is the simplest character as he only wears one outfit. He is dressed as a traditional bobby and his role is to chase the Killer. The outfit actually conveys the new wave style as it is a formal uniform. Hopefully he will be dressed as a traditional British 'bobby' but I'm having trouble finding a costume.
The Killer
This character will be the main protagonist (or antagonist?) and the vocalist. The killer will wear a range of costumes including the mime costume, the Hannibal costume, and other costumes I can find.
The Victim
She is being chased by the killer. I would like her to wear a red dress, to connote the old hammer horror films, though that may mean that filming outside could prove difficult due to the cold.
