Storyboarding: New Opening Idea

Since I don't think that the performance shots will look in place with the silent movie feel, I decided to play around to see if any of my other ideas would work for an opening. I decided upon the Hitchcock bath shot. This would work well as an opening shot as it builds up tension as well as introducing the viewer to the themes of murder and horror. It also immediately attracts attention from horror movie fans (which were identified as a target audience by my questionnaires) due to the intertexuality. By the way, for some reason 'intertextuality' is not a word according to Google and it asks me to correct it. Since I am used to doing this automatically, you may find that I accidently say 'intersexuality' instead. I want to apologise now in the event that I accidently do this.

This shot will convey the genre and themes through the black and white colours used, the intertextuality, and the action that is happening. This shot also builds tension, not only of fear of the murderer, but also as a build up of the artist, which most music videos due by obscuring the artist's face until the vocals come in. Furthermore, this shot may also create sex appeal as the person showering will most likely be female. The slow zoom in which I suggest in the video helps to build the tension.
